Why are the numbers different?
The tamper must enter the basket. The maker describes the 53.35 mm option as a fit for selected 54 mm systems. Do not apply a universal subtraction rule to every basket or accessory.
Three checks before ordering
- Identify the exact machine. Similar names are not proof of identical fit.
- Identify the basket. If it has been replaced, consult that basket maker’s recommended tamper dimensions.
- Check the selected listing option. Verify diameter, base style and version together. Ask the seller if specifications disagree.
Do not force a tight tamper into the basket. Fit claims here do not establish compatibility with every tapered or aftermarket basket.
