Flat or ripple?
Skip the taste promises.
Two base styles are available for the Flash 2.0. Here is what we can say without pretending we tested them.
| Flat base | Ripple base | |
|---|---|---|
| Surface | Smooth, flat profile | Concentric patterned profile |
| First check | Correct size and version | Correct size and version |

Our practical view
Choose a base that fits your basket and suits your routine. We start with flat because it is a straightforward option to explain, not because we have measured better extraction. We do not recommend replacing a tool that already works merely to change its surface.
What we have not measured
We have not compared extraction yield, taste, puck removal, cleaning effort or long-term wear. Claims about those outcomes need evidence beyond the product description.
